Peta Miller Collection

Peta Miller works as a full-time artist based in Fremantle, Western Australia. Peta’s art is primarily informed by the Australian landscape and the port city of Fremantle where she lives.

Her art conveys the essence of a place rather than a realistic likeness. Peta generally moves from a realistic to a more abstract image, in particular she likes to push the boundaries of colour, shape and tone.  She likes to use a range of materials but primarily acrylic paint, pastels, oil sticks and charcoal on wood or canvas. Peta also likes to experiment with ways of applying paint using homemade stencils, linocuts and any tools that make interesting marks.    (photo by Crib Creative)
